If you choose hotels by driving around until you find one that appeals to you from the outside you probably wouldn't pick the Kraft.
But inside, there is a trace of elegance. Guest rooms are furnished and decorated a cut above most other hotels in this price category.
Number 31, for example, is a double with a small sitting area, a comfortable couch and chair and two wide windows which look out onto Schillerstrasse. The small bath is tiled floor to ceiling and there is space in the entryway for your luggage. The recommended single is Number 34 at the back of the house.
In the mirrored breakfast room you'll find a statue of St. George slaying the dragon.
Rooms are provided with the usual amenities except for mini bars. However, a refrigerator stocked with beverages is open to guests 24-hours a day.
The 32-room Kraft is located in the University Hospital area, less than a 10-minute walk from the main rail station and close to the Sendlinger Tor. We rate it one of the best value hotel in Munich.
