Vancouver | Friday, Aug 01, 2025 | Friday, Aug 01, 2025 |
Vancouver is a thriving metropolis surrounded by natural beauty. With parks, beaches, gardens, museums, art galleries and the second-largest Chinatown in North America, Vancouver lives up to its promise of offering something for everyone. With modern buildings set against green, rolling hillsides, this city is breathtaking; no location offers a more spectacular view than Stanley Park - with a zoo, aquarium, totem poles and honking geese. A short walk from the park leads to Robson Street, which offers the town's best window-shopping. Stores with European flavor share the avenue with delicatessens and tea rooms ready to serve. As architectural heart of the city, Robson Square features a central plaza with a food fair and an old provincial courthouse, which now houses Vancouver Art Gallery. Be sure to stop at 8 Pender St. - "the narrowest building in the world." Other points of interest include the Museum of Anthropology; Japanese-style Nitobe Memorial Garden; and VanDusen Botanical Garden. Capilano Canyon is site of the world's longest and highest suspension footbridge.
Inside Passage | Saturday, Aug 02, 2025 | Saturday, Aug 02, 2025 |
Imagine being confronted with a myriad of mysterious channels. Following each fjord to the interior, encounter massive mountain ranges, towering cliffs, tumbling waterfalls, virginal forests of two-hundred foot tall spruce, while whales, bears, seals, salmon, eagles and other wildlife. Always they were stopped by an inevitable face of ice - glaciers pushing inexorably downward to meet the sea. What must have been a mapmaker's nightmare is today cherished as the continent's last great untouched wilderness, harbouring the world's largest temperate rain forest. An Eden of the North to captivate the every modern-day explorer. The string of islands of the Inside Passage create a protective barrier to the open sea running from the Washington State/Canadian border and the bottom of Vancouver Island all the way up to the top of Chichagof Island, where the Gulf of Alaska begins its curve westward, offering a supremely serene cruising environment in some of the most dramatic surroundings on earth.
Ketchikan | Sunday, Aug 03, 2025 | Sunday, Aug 03, 2025 |
Ketchikan is known as "Alaska's First City" because it's the first major community travelers come to as they travel north. The city is built on steep hillsides and is billed as salmon capital of the world. A quaint village, the town is three miles long and three blocks wide. With fishing boats sailing in and float planes ascending from the water, this seaside town is bustling with activity. With the world's largest collection of totem poles, Totem Bight State Historical Park offers insight into various native cultures of the Pacific Northwest. These wood-carved creations tell colorful, intricate tales – often showing a family history or depicting a local legend. Ketchikan has many options for adventure of relaxation, including mountain bike tours, sea kayaking, seaplane riding, or strolling down the boardwalk of Creek Street, Ketchikan's most famous section with a historic cable car and quaint boutiques. Blessed with an abundance of hiking trails, Ketchikan offers many breathtaking vistas, including the panoramic, 360-degree view from the top of Deer Mountain.
Sitka | Monday, Aug 04, 2025 | Monday, Aug 04, 2025 |
Resting between snowcapped mountains and the Pacific Ocean, Sitka is one of the most beautiful seaside towns in Alaska and the biggest city in America - encircling 4,710 square miles on Baranof Island. No symbol shows Russian influence more than the landmark St. Michael's Cathedral. Original artifacts and icons, including the Sitka Madonna, were saved from fire and are on display. Visit Castle Hill, once site of a two-story log mansion known as Baranof's Castle, which overlooked Sitka Sound during the town's fur trading days. Only stone walls and mounted cannons remain from Russia's bloody battles against native Tlingit. Sitka National Historical Park offers information and artifacts relating to the Tlingits, including totem poles as a chronicle of early life on this fertile ground. Alaska Raptor Rehabilitation Center cares for as many as a dozen bald eagles and other birds at a time. The facility caters to rare wildlife recovering from injuries incurred in the wild. Among the more popular trails is Indian River Trail, which parallels a salmon stream, and the three-mile-long Gaven Hill Trail.
Juneau | Tuesday, Aug 05, 2025 | Tuesday, Aug 05, 2025 |
Juneau is one of America's most beautiful state capitals, with the looming summits of Mt. Juneau and Mt. Roberts providing a gorgeous backdrop. Once part of Alaska's Gold Rush, the city boasts natural and manmade attractions. Downtown is filled with many vibrant buildings, including must-see St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, which houses artwork and artifacts dating back to the 18th century. From the bright mural in Marine Park to the carvings in House of Wickersham, downtown is filled with Alaska's own unique brand of culture and architecture. Often hailed as Juneau's most impressive sight, nearby Mendenhall Glacier is approximately 12 miles long and 1.5 miles wide. See the glacier on a float trip or a "flightseeing" adventure, or hike up one of its trails for a closer inspection. For a bird's-eye view, the Mt. Roberts Tramway offers a short, six-minute trek to the top of Mt. Roberts, 1800 feet above the city. If wildlife is your passion, scenic Admiralty Island has the world's highest concentration of brown bears.
Hubbard Glacier | Thursday, Aug 07, 2025 | Thursday, Aug 07, 2025 |
Seventy-five miles long and covering over 1,350 square miles in area, the Hubbard Glacier is the largest tidewater glacier in North America. It is also one of the most impressive, a 300-foot wall of ice rising sheer and jagged from the ocean. You may hear the rumble and see the monumental splash as the glacier breaks off in great ice chunks, known as "calves."

Alyeska | Friday, Aug 08, 2025 | Friday, Aug 08, 2025 |
Alyeska is a gorgeous place to visit even summer time. It is nested nicely in Girdwood, between the mountains and close to Turnagain Arm. It is one of the few (only maybe) places to downhill ski and at the same time look at the sea, even maybe whales. There is so much to do in Alyeska, from golf, to mountain baking, to glacier hiking. Hike up to Alyeska Mt during summer. If desired, take a tram, but hiking is fun and the view is spectacular.

Denali National Park | Saturday, Aug 09, 2025 | Saturday, Aug 09, 2025 |
Denali National Park and Preserve defines the Alaskan Experience. Towering above it all is Mt. McKinley, the highest point in North America. At 20,320 feet, its summit beckons more than 1,000 climbers each year who brave the elements for the chance to scale its majestic face. Denali encompasses 6 million acres of forests, tundra, glaciers and mountains. Moose, caribou, sheep and bears free to roam a wide area of land untouched by man. There are ample opportunities for animal watching, whether it is a grizzly foraging for berries or a golden eagle soaring through the crisp, clean Alaskan air. Denali is one of the few places where visitors come in contact with the Alaskan tundra - a "vast, rolling, treeless plain." The tundra starts at 2,500 feet and extends up along the massive Alaska Range. Muldrow Glacier, which descends 16,000 feet from the upper slopes of Mt. McKinley, comes within one mile of the road.

Celebrity Cruises cannot accept guests who will have entered their 24th week of pregnancy by the beginning of, or at any time during their cruise vacation. A physician's "Fit to Travel" note is required prior to sailing, stating how far along (in weeks) your pregnancy will be at the beginning of the cruise and confirming that you are in good health and not experiencing a high-risk pregnancy. The "Fit to Travel" note should be faxed to the Access Department at 1-954-628-9622. If you have already booked a cruise or Cruisetour and do not meet this requirement, please call Celebrity at 1-866-592-7225 or email them at info@specialneedsgroup.com.
For the comfort and enjoyment of all guests, Celebrity ships are designated as non-smoking. However, Celebrity does recognize that some guests smoke. Therefore, cigarette, cigar and pipe smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas of the ship. Smoking is not permitted in any dining venue, casino, theater, lounge, hallway, elevator or corridor. This policy includes smoking-like products such as electronic cigarettes. Smoking is not permitted inside any guest stateroom, nor on any guest veranda. If a guest is in violation of this policy, a cleaning fee of $250USD will be applied to their SeaPass account and the guest may be subject to further action pursuant to the "Consequences Section" of the Guest Conduct Policy. Cigarettes, cigars and pipe tobacco must be properly disposed of and never thrown overboard. A guest must be at least 18 years of age to purchase, possess or use tobacco onboard. Additionally, there is a non-smoking policy on all components of the land tour portion of all Celebrity Cruises cruisetour products.
Celebrity is committed to providing all its guests with an unrivaled cruise vacation. Their extensive attention to detail will make your vacation one that knows no boundaries.
Dialysis
Guests requiring continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis are welcome to board all Celebrity Cruises vessels. However, Celebrity Cruises does not have the ability to assist or administer hemo-dialysis treatments. Guests should have all solutions and equipment needed to perform the dialysis delivered to the vessel on the day of sailing at least two hours prior to sailing. Please contact Celebrity for more information on policies and procedures.
Oxygen
All types of oxygen are permitted onboard. Please notify Celebrity as to quantity, type and delivery schedule. Each vessel has a different storage policy. However, you will be able to keep some or all of your cylinders in the stateroom.
Mobile Disabilities
Every ship in the Celebrity fleet was designed with every guest's need in mind. You'll find wide, spacious corridors, to allow 180° turns for wheelchairs. Most decks are accessible through automatic doors, and all public rooms feature entrances with gradual inclines.
Celebrity will provide complimentary wheelchair assistance for embarkation and disembarkation only.
If you would like to have a wheelchair during the cruise, there is a limited supply of wheelchairs available on the ships. Please contact the Access Department if you would like to make a reservation for a wheelchair. If you want to ensure you will have a wheelchair or scooter onboard, you are welcome to bring your own or rent one from one of these approved vendors. They will deliver the mobility device to your stateroom on the ship:

Guests may bring and use wheelchairs, mobility scooters and other assistive devices onboard the ships. Due to safety regulations, Segways may not be used onboard.
Assistive devices including mobility scooters must be stored and recharged in your stateroom so fire doors, corridors and elevator lobbies are kept clear for emergency evacuation. When parked throughout the ship, they must be parked out of the way to allow safe and easy access by other guests and crewmembers.
Assistive devices should fit through a standard stateroom entry doorway which is at least 23 inches wide. Celebrity offers accessible staterooms which have wider doorways measuring at least 32 inches wide and may accommodate larger devices. If you have an assistive device larger than 32 inches wide, please contact the Access Department for assistance.
Please note: Crewmembers are NOT permitted to lift assistive devices.
Accessible Staterooms
Accessible staterooms are designed with wider doors, roll-in showers, grab bars and other special features for guests with mobility disabilities and other disabilities that require the use of the accessible features of that stateroom.
Accessible staterooms are held for people with disabilities until all other non-accessible staterooms in that category are reserved. Upon reserving an accessible stateroom, Celebrity requires that guests acknowledge the need for the accessible stateroom by completing a Guest Special Needs Form.
If a guest is booked in an accessible stateroom and they do not have a mobility disability or other disability that requires the use of the features that are provided in the accessible stateroom, they may be moved at any time to a non-accessible stateroom in order to accommodate a guest with a disability. Please note that Celebrity will investigate and take action on potential misuse of accessible staterooms where there is good cause to believe that such staterooms have been booked fraudulently.
For additional information, contact the Access Department at 1-866-592-7225 (voice), send an email to special_needs@celebrity.com, or have your travel professional contact Celebrity.
Boarding Accessibility
Airport Transportation - If requested in advance, Celebrity can arrange for accessible transportation to transfer guests between the airport and the pier. This service is offered at no extra charge to their air/sea guests or those who have purchased cruise-only transfers. Accessible transportation may be limited or not available outside the U.S. Contact your travel agent or Celebrity for details.
Extra Assistance at the Pier - Celebrity Cruises offers boarding and departure assistance with wheelchairs to guests with mobility disabilities. Request assistance once you arrive at the pier or contact Celebrity prior to your cruise so that they may prioritize your assistance to go onboard. During peak times there may be a wait for assistance.
Many ports provide easy access for wheelchairs and scooters. However due to various conditions - such as steepness of the gangway, tendering, weather, tidal and sea conditions, and shore-side facilities - guests using assistive devices may be precluded from getting on or off the ship.
Celebrity will make reasonable efforts to assist guests, but for safety reasons, their staff is not permitted to lift guests or equipment. Assistance with manual wheelchairs, walkers, canes, etc. will be provided.
Assistance Onboard - Celebrity will provide reasonable mobility assistance to guests in accessing areas of the ship that are not accessible.
Traveling from Ship to Shore - At some ports, the ship will anchor off shore, and guests are taken to shore by small boats called tenders. Even if the ship is scheduled to dock at a pier, it can change to tendering.
Guests with assistive devices who are unable to take a few steps will be unable to board tenders unless roll-on capability is available.
In order to safely board most tenders, guests must be able to take steps and use a collapsible manual wheelchair. In addition, motorized wheelchairs and mobility scooters can not be taken on tenders, unless roll-on capability is available. Inquire about tender roll-on capability at the Guest Relations Desk while on board. Please note roll-on capability is not guaranteed.
Weather, sea conditions and other factors may preclude tendering. Safety of the guests and crew is the primary consideration, and the Captain and his staff will make the final decision regarding transferring guests and their assistive devices based on safety reasons.
If guests are unable to tender or disembark due to these circumstances, there will be no refund or credit for missed ports. While Celebrity recognizes your disappointment, the safety of guests and crew takes precedence.
Hearing Disabilities
Celebrity accommodates guests who are deaf and hard of hearing by providing them with technological advancements wherever and whenever possible. To customize your accommodations to meet your specific needs, please request and complete the Guest Special Needs Form from Celebrity. For additional information, contact the Access Department at 1-866-592-7225 (voice), send an e-mail to special_needs@celebrity.com, or contact your travel professional.

A request for sign language interpreting services should be made with the Access Department at time of booking but no later than 60 days prior to sailing. Requests are subject to availability of interpreters. Sign language interpreting services are provided on cruises that depart from and/or return to the U.S. and Canada.

As always, crew and staff are on hand to assist in every way at any time. To customize your accommodations to meet your specific needs, please request and complete the Guest Special Needs Form from Celebrity. For additional information, contact the Access Department at 1-866-592-7225 (voice), send an e-mail to special_needs@celebrity.com, or contact your travel professional.

Service Animals
Celebrity warmly welcomes service dogs on all ships except those sailing to the United Kingdom (UK) due to DEFRA regulations. Please note: pets are NOT permitted onboard.
A service dog is defined as "any dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of a person with a disability." Service dogs are not considered pets. Evidence that a dog is a service dog is helpful, but not required (such as identification cards, other written documentation, presence of harnesses and/or tags or the credible verbal assurance of the person with a disability using the animal).
Celebrity will provide 4 feet by 4 feet relief areas with cypress mulch to accommodate service dogs. Sod for sailings from the U.S. can be provided if requested in advance and is available. Relief areas are provided on a shared basis with other service dogs onboard. Please note that The Lawn Club on Solstice class ships is not designated as a relief area. Please notify the Access Department at time of booking, but no later than 30 days prior to sailing, if a service dog relief area is needed.
Service dogs are permitted to accompany the person with a disability in all public areas, including dining venues. While in public areas, service dogs must be on a leash, harness, or other restraining device. Due to health regulations, service dogs are not permitted in pools, whirlpools or spas.
Care and supervision of the service animal is the sole responsibility of the owner. The ships are not required to provide food or care for the animal. Guests may bring a reasonable quantity of food and bowls for the dog onboard the ship at no additional charge. If refrigerated space is needed, notify the Access Department at time of booking, but no later than 30 days prior to sailing.
Guests are responsible for obtaining all required permits for service dogs to depart the ship in non-U.S. ports. Guest must carry a copy with them on the ship, and leave a copy with the Guest Relations Desk after boarding the ship.
To obtain specific information on required documents for service dogs, please visit the U. S. Department of Agriculture's website. All documentation and immunization requirements are established by government authorities and not Celebrity Cruises. Please note requirements are subject to change without notice.
If the guest chooses to disembark the ship at a port at which the service dog must remain onboard, the guest must make arrangements to ensure that the dog is cared for. Note that the ship's staff is not required to care for the dog, nor can the dog be left in the stateroom unattended.
Internet access is available in the Internet Café 24 hours a day until debarkation is completed.
Guests can also connect to the Internet on each ship in the Celebrity fleet, either by accessing a 24/7 wireless connection "hotspot", or utilizing the resources of the Internet Café located onboard. Depending on class of ship, you can access the Internet from your stateroom. On Solstice Class chips, the full ship is wireless; on Millennium Class ships you may be able to access wireless service from your stateroom based on where the closest hotspot is located. You will be able to receive email, via satellite link 24 hours a day, satellite conditions permitting. There is also an Internet Manager on board to assist you.

Pros: Staff
Cons: Most everything else
Review: No power twice, no water 4 times, no toilets 4 times, no elevator couple never worked,, no activity unless you like board games trivia and coloring,, no stopping at Bimini, glasses that leak or were cracked, food was average at best. Crappy wifi, TV out alot. Shops were overpriced.
Smaller ship, less crowded and more laid-back
Pros: Smaller ship, less crowded and more laid-back
Cons: Simpler activities, Less for little children
Review: We had a very enjoyable trip with very little stress. There weren’t many sports activities such as on the big ships, but they did have a kids club and lots of planned activities for older ages and adults. The staff is extremely helpful and welcoming. We like the idea of the smaller ship as it was easy to find seats at any event.

We've always thought Celebrity Ships were the best looking overall ships at the Port and were surprised to see a few scattered rust spots and unkempt windows on the ship, our balcony, and a few other areas. Overall, the Cruise was great and we recommend this Cruise and the beautiful scenery on this trip.
Excellent help. Problems resolved quickly.
Pros: Excellent help. Problems resolved quickly.
Cons: Inconsistency in data on their App they want you to use and their systems. Decor is underwhelming. Especially in pool solarium.
Review: There was confusion in dining arrangements. Cruise reservations said 6 pm dining. App said anytime dining. Was corrected in 2 days. Also cruise excursion too.

Service and food in Luminae was superb. The Retreat Sun Deck was a great place to relax, read and have a cold drink.
Pros: Service and food in Luminae was superb. The Retreat Sun Deck was a great place to relax, read and have a cold drink.
Cons: No Crown Royal available on the ship. My premium beverage package didn’t do me much good.
Review: Overall this was a great cruise. We had an experienced waiter in Luminae but overall it seemed like it was a lot of new/trainee type employees. Not the personal touch that we’ve experienced on other Celebrity ships.
Updated Rooms, Great Food, Wonderful Staff

Pros: Great service in resturants, room ,1/3 capacity so personal attention, plenty of attention, social distancing space.
Cons: no cigar lounge. too much overselling of specialty resturants
Review: Bar service was iffy and not consistent between bars, not enough smoking areas or lounges but lots of tobacco products for sale in liquor shop. Sushi on 5 was good and 1/2 price for similar meal at land based resturant.

Pros: Staff were extremely hospitable.
Cons: Ship is geared towards an elderly population
Review: For the second year in a row we had a great time on the Summit. Loved the remodeling of the rooms and common areas. Our room attendant Seon was phenomenal as well as the dining crew Saudiasa, Christopher and Monwa. They catered to our every need and were very helpful. The buffet area becomes very crowded during peak hours but if you are willing to either go earlier or later for food then you'll be ok. This goes the same for the pool which is small as well but overall a great time and we would do it again!

Cons: Ship is showing some wear and tear
Review: We were on this ship 2 years ago, and everything was pristine. After 2 years, the ship is showing some wear. But, don't despair! In Feb of 2019, this ship is being overhauled and will be brand-spanking new! So, we are looking forward to the "new" Summit in 2019

Review: Our Captain and crew we're the Best!
Awesome crew and service
Pros: Awesome crew and service
Cons: Internet was lousy. Big surprise.
Review: The crew, the wait staff and our cabin steward were amazing. I had heard that the ship was one of the oldest in the fleet and that it showed. It couldn't be further from the truth. Yes, there were multiple layers of paint on some of the fixtures (same as other ships). There were spots of rust (like on other ships) but the overall condition of the ship was just fine. Captain Kate was awesome. She even greeted everyone as they disembarked. Never had a captain do that before. The food in the main restaurant was good but not spectacular which seems to be pretty standard these days with specialty restaurants. Overall the experience was very good. Don't be afraid to take this ship. It was one of the best cruises I've been on.
Everything good
Pros: Everything good
Cons: None worthy of mention
Review: Most enjoyable.
Summit is always a great ship to cruise. The Captain Alex was excellent, and his demeanor is very evident in the response of the crew.
Pros: Summit is always a great ship to cruise. The Captain Alex was excellent, and his demeanor is very evident in the response of the crew.
Cons: Wish the fish was better at dinner. Also, 14 days a tad too long for me.
Review:
Good food, excellent service, FANTASTIC captain!
Pros: Good food, excellent service, FANTASTIC captain!
Cons: Entertainment was not as expected. There was only one show by the ship's cast, and the rest was a mix of other guest singers/comedians
Review: We have sailed Celebrity before and loved their ships. The Summit is a different category, so it was less aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Also, the food on the top deck was boring-most days the same things were offered, and the variety was poor. Dining and stateroom service was excellent. We had a balcony, and the shower was huge by cruise ship standards.
Smaller ship, staff is very friendly and professional. Been on Summit many times always a great vacation!
Pros: Smaller ship, staff is very friendly and professional. Been on Summit many times always a great vacation!
Cons: Older ship that has some minor issues
Review: Would book on Summit again and again we love it so much.
The entire staff was warm and welcoming with such a pleasant manner at every level of service
Pros: The entire staff was warm and welcoming with such a pleasant manner at every level of service
Cons: Absolutely None!!! Well, maybe the taxi service doubled my fare as I was told by another couple once we had departed for the airport to leave!
Review: What a trip! I could find many nooks on the ship to find peace and solitude or be in the middle of a hub of excitement and always felt such contentment with any mood experience I sought at the time. I always felt about cruising there would be too many crowds and commotion to withstand but, in fact, I found it quite the opposite and I could be as busy as I wanted to be or not for my maiden voyage! The ship's decor, amenities, food, wine, clubs, pubs, entertainment and excursions were all outstanding as were the entire staff aboard and the people I met there and afar in all the local ports of call! I met so many nice people and now have new traveling companions; we met onboard and signed up for another Celebrity Summit cruise again!

Bermuda was enjoyable port to visit
Pros: Bermuda was enjoyable port to visit
Cons: Older ship
Review: Everything was nice and staff was very polite. Alot of variety in meal/food choices. Unfortunately, had some strong sewage smells through out ship at times, especially while in port. Entertainment could be improved - dancers not as stellar as other cruise lines/ships.

Best entertainment
Pros: Best entertainment
Cons: Buffet is lacking in food choices, beverages rarely there. Hot coffee cold after breakfast
Review: Beverage packages were pushed like no other ship with bar staff latterly following you around the deck trying every angle to sell a package. The add of twenty-four hour beverages at the buffet is very inaccurate.
Ship was beautiful. Well taken care of, great good, and friendly and attentive staff
Pros: Ship was beautiful. Well taken care of, great good, and friendly and attentive staff
Cons: No Cons
Review: This ship was in dry-dock in February of this year. As a result, it's looking new and not warn or tired. Added a new rooftop lounge, which is very nice a good weather. The specialty restaurants were great. Tried both Tuscan Grill, a traditional steak house, as well as Qsine. The latter offers a twist on traditional foods and is a culinary adventure. It was lots of fun! The ship's captain is a woman, Captain Kate. She is visible and very personable. Loved our Concierge class. Very attentive service and nice perks along the way.

Excellent Service and Superior Accommodations
Pros: Excellent Service and Superior Accommodations

Review: The Persian Garden Retreat was wonderful and well-worth the additional cost for the 6-day pass. Noteworthy was the Tuscan Grill --- for atmosphere, food and service. The Luminae, although less than 1 year old, continues to grow into its role as the specialty dining area for Suite Guests. The Michael's Club was a quiet retreat that could be used 24/7 and was appreciated.
Ship looked great, especially since it was being sent to dry dock after our cruise. Loved the free Clasdic drink package. Drinks, sodas, specialty coffees, and all the bottled water we could drink. Awesome. And loved the CI gift of onboard credit. Thank you. Staff aboard ship was very friendly and helpful. Entertainment was also very good.,

Good food, good ports, good value for money paid
Pros: Good food, good ports, good value for money paid
Cons: N/A
Review: The Celebrity Summit is not a new ship but it is clean and well kept. The entertainment was really good every night. Good singers and dancers as well as shows that were similar to Broadway style in New York. The food in the main dining room was excellent. The waiters were able to take requests to add or delete ingredients from most of the meals. There were a variety of tours to choose and they were well organized. In conclusion, the ship offers a good value for the price paid.
Great staff
Pros: Great staff
Cons: Rust and dirty glass everywhere
Review: Second time on this ship. Pet peeves: both soft serve ice cream machines were not working and if the ship is scheduling excursions around noon, please make sure the pool grill opens on time. Great house keeping staff.
Dining/food/entire staff/ports
Pros: Dining/food/entire staff/ports
Cons: None what so ever
Review: We had a wonderful time. The staff couldn't have been more helpful or attentive to our needs in the Dining Room or our Cabin. Ricardo our waiter and his staff were great. After the first night they knew exactly the extras we liked. As in butter/rolls/lemonade and alot of water especially for Jeanette, he always had 3 glasses waiting for her. Francisco our cabin steward was great our room was always neat and fresh. Never missed a chocolate on our pillows at night. The ports were great. Don't have one negative thing to say as this was an absolutely great cruise. First time on Celebrity and would sail again with them.

Review: Overall, the cruise on Celebrity was wonderful, very relaxing (which we needed at the time). this was our first time on Celebrity & we had a great time that we booked another for 2017 on ship.
food, ports of call
Pros: food, ports of call
Cons: occassional problems in deck 10 food areas with refills of utensils.
Review: Great ports of call. Especially liked Sydney, Nova Scotia. Tours at each port were very good. The crew was unfailingly friendly and helpful. Great shows each night and the cruise director John was super.

Review: It was a wonderful experience for me to be a part of this cruise . Itinerary was well prepared & informed. Evening show was very much enjoyable,it was almost professional. This was my 8th cruises & one of the best. Thank you.
Great food, activities, friendly staff and plenty of quite spaces to be alone
Pros: Great food, activities, friendly staff and plenty of quite spaces to be alone
Cons: Ship is ten years old although well maintained for it's age.
Review: Our 2-1/2 day stop was in Bermuda which had beautiful pink sand beaches. I saw nice neighborhoods with pastel painted houses. If there is poverty we did not see any. You can only rent scooters to get around the island but buses and water taxi are inexpensive and they also have taxis which are convenient but cost more. Recommend the sit down dining over the buffet unless you want a quick meal.
Excellent food and service
Pros: Excellent food and service
Cons: Older ship, needs some paint etc. here and there.
Review: We had a great cruise. Love Celebrity. It's more for an older crowd, shows were a little corny, but good nonetheless. The food was excellent. I loved how the lunch buffet had something new and special every day (such as shot glasses full of desserts one day, and chocolate dipping fountain the next day), etc. Overall, we loved it and are planning to go again next year.
The ship and its crew/staff were outstanding!!
Pros: The ship and its crew/staff were outstanding!!

Review: Our cruise was wonderful. We celebrated Bill's birthday on this cruise. When I contacted Guest Relations to alert them of the occasion, they took the info and ran with it. They put a Happy Birthday sign on our stateroom door and placed a long stemmed red rose in our room. They delivered chocolate covered strawberries on the appropriate day and served a delicious birthday cake to all at our dining table accompanied by the appropriate birthday song. The trip itself was relaxing and fun. While in Bermuda, we took the Crystal Caves tour on the first day in port. We then got transportation passes and took ferries and buses all over Bermuda. We also visited the Swizzle Inn while traveling by bus from St. Georges back to Hamilton. Had a couple of pitchers of rum swizzles and terrific lunch. We then boarded another bus to Hamilton and then the ferry back to the dockyard. We totally enjoyed venturing out on our own to enjoy the local flavor of Bermuda.
Suite was very comfortable with outstanding service by butler and room attendants. The new suite restaurant, Lumaine, is outstanding in every way. Eating their was liking visiting a small club restaurant with all food prepared to order and presented beautifully. Staff said they were trying for a Michelin star!

Review: Celebrity Summit provided a wonderful vacation for my family and me in beautiful Bermuda. The ship has been well maintained and while smaller than the Solstice class seems much more accessible. The port was beautiful and easy to access. In summary, I plan to do this trip again within the next five years.
Loved the window and drink package. Thank you. All of the staff was great.

Small ship feel - responsive service, large suite bathroom
Pros: Small ship feel - responsive service, large suite bathroom
Cons: Food has slipped a notch, not quite what it used to be except in Qsine
Review: Overall, the ship was in good shape, the beds were comfortable and everything in good condition, and the Sky Suite had a nice sized balcony and huge bathroom (by ship standards). We enjoyed the itinerary - the ports all had great beaches and the options for other activities as well. For us, traveling with a 4 year old, we probably would have preferred an "at sea" day around the middle of the trip - we ended up not seeing much in Antigua because we just needed to relax. The staff was very responsive (butler/room attendant were excellent), the main dining room staff was good, although the food in the Main Dining Room wasn't quite as good as we remembered from a prior Celebrity experience. It was a little meat heavy and not as much seafood as we expected, but there was always something appealing on the menu. Dining at the specialty restaurant Qsine was a terrific experience and I would highly recommend it - it was whimsical and by far the best food on the ship. The buffet is pretty much what you'd expect, and not really something we enjoy at home or at sea. There were not many appetizing options for food after 10pm (one night we decided to eat late). The coffee bar was terrific (and a great place for pastries and desserts), but it is the ONLY place on the ship to get espresso or espresso based drinks - so it is a bit of a wait if you want the dining room staff to get it for you, as they have to walk there to get it. We enjoyed the evening entertainment (singers/dancers/acrobats - and they were terrific at engaging my daughter when they would encounter her off stage), the comedian was a little lackluster. The captain was funnier than the comedian! We only used the kids club one day (the at sea day) but my daughter did enjoy it, and we liked that we had the option of leaving her there during late seating dinner (if we wanted to since kids club is open at no charge from 7 - 10pm). It would have been nicer if it stayed open until 10:30 since our evening dinner usually wasn't done until closer to 10:30 - but that is a minor detail and it is possible to pay an hourly fee for the children to stay past 10pm.
Captain was wonderful, cabin attendent Anthony was top notch. he helped me gratly with keeping me diabetes medine cool and ready for travel . His assistant Riste was great too. Never had a problem with the room.Ship was clean and always on time.

Cons: food was hit or miss. lobster was terrible, beef wellington was great.
Review: Shows were ok but not exceptional Costumes were a little worn and dated.
Service & Staff were phenomenal, Aqua Class perks were great, Entertainers talented and very enjoyable. Had the best set of fellow passengers in the 6 cruises we've done.
Pros: Service & Staff were phenomenal, Aqua Class perks were great, Entertainers talented and very enjoyable. Had the best set of fellow passengers in the 6 cruises we've done.
Cons: Older ship, but was never an issue. The usual folks "saving" lounge chairs and never to be seen in hours, but when I inquired with a pool butler, he was more than willing to set items aside since he didn't "see them in quite a while" so it worked out.
Review: After cruising on a larger and smaller ships, we found the Summit to be "perfect" - not too crowded and easy to navigate your way around. The staff, service and menu in the Blu restaurant were top notch and we can't say enough about the high quality and standards provided to us. They all made us feel like family and helped the guests warm up to each other with both friendliness and professionalism. Very good service and food in the main dining room the one night we ate there. The buffet was also very good. The Aqua Spa Café was great - the good variety of healthy smoothies are covered under the Premium Beverage Pkg - made for the best wake-up call and mid-day snacks. Martini Bar was the bomb! Excellent menu, most made with Grey Goose Vodka. Showroom entertainment rivals many shows we've seen in Vegas! Very talented entertainers.

Review: This was our first cruise and I had a number of reservations about it. My travel agent did everything he could to reassure me and prepare me for this trip. My greatest concern was the 7 day length of the trip for first timers. HIs advise was that for a first cruise 6 or 7 days allows you to become familiar with the culture and the ship and still gives you ample time to settle in and enjoy. He hit the nail on the head with that answer, it did take us a couple of days to become acclimated. That being said we enjoyed every minute of our cruise; the food was excellent, the entertainment was very good and above all the staff was AWESOME. Friendly, helpful and considerate. The level of service on the Summit was comparable to that of a 5 star resort. The itinerary of the Southern Caribbean cruise offered us a number of options to sightsee, shop, my wife's preference and to take part in many activities. The one thing that stood out to us was the number of people we met on the trip who had been on a number of cruises but on other lines and how impressed they were with the ship, the service and the food. We are now trying to find a time to take our next cruise.
Captains club Rep. Ashley and staff (Lilianna) were very attentive. Cabins very clean thank you Thelma and her assistant
Pros: Captains club Rep. Ashley and staff (Lilianna) were very attentive. Cabins very clean thank you Thelma and her assistant

I was pleasantly surprised however to discover that the ship had the perfect balance of "togetherness and privacy" and we desired. We can't wait to book our next cruise on Celebrity !!
